Push Rummy past the basics with modular tweaks: use two decks with extra jokers; let jokers lock/unlock or even skip a turn; build descending or alternating runs; add 30-second turns; require melds to hit a point threshold; run twin discard piles that rotate; keep one set hidden; add a penalty for picking from the discard; juggle split hands; escalate scores for later finishers; and every fifth round, flip a new wild card. Mix and match for more tension and strategy without losing the fun.
